Principal Duties and Responsibilities

St. Columbkille Catholic School is seeking a second grade teacher to join our staff starting in the Fall of 2024. Interested applicants must be eager to help our second graders take their next step to be more like Jesus and experience maximum spiritual, social-emotional, and academic growth during their second grade year.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Enjoys sharing faith and building community with children and their caregivers
- Knowledge in the key teachings of the Science of Reading is ideal for this position
- Understanding of academic and social-emotional norms for 2nd grade students
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents, co workers, and administration
- Has a positive attitude and a strength-based approach to problem solving

Education and Experience
- Must be a practicing Catholic and certified to teach in the state of Nebraska
- Experience teaching in the primary grades is desired but not required
- Completion of Archdiocesan Safe Environment Training with a clear background check is required
