Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Will be expected to become familiar with the principles of a Clear Path of Discipleship and will work with the Parish Support team at the archdiocese to become fully equipped to develop this pathway.• Meet on a regular basis with Archdiocesan mentor for Clear Path guidance/support.
• Develop and maintain an Evangelization Board to help shape and guide the vision for the parish’s evangelization efforts.
• Manage the process of creating the parish’s plan for evangelization. This should include Senior, Family, Young Adult, School and Youth Ministries among others.
• Build relationships with parishioners, parents, and students to become the face for the evangelization mission within Midtown Catholic.
• Attend at least one meeting for each council and board (i.e. Finance Councils, Parish Councils, and School Board) annually or upon request.
• Serve as staff contact and support for Baptism Prep and OCIA Programs. Communicate with RE Coordinator regarding any RCIA/RCIC joint events.
• Work with the Coordinator of RE, Parish Director, and Social Media Manager to determine social media schedule and create content.
• Communicate with the parish at mass, meetings, social media and mail to ensure everyone is effectively informed of progress, changes and upcoming events.
• Attend Office meetings weekly and Senior Leadership Team meetings when requested.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Enthusiastic worker with an openness and desire to learn new skills.
• Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Catholic Church.
• People person who does not mind meeting and speaking with new people.
• Ability to work either with a team or independently with little direct supervision.
• Previous work in Evangelization preferred.
• Experience leading small groups and classes.
• Must be Safe Environment certified. Background check required.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Philosophy, Evangelization, or related field preferred
